
Building My Bee Habitat

Materials

Planks of wood (Cypress, Pine)

Drill bits (2-10mm)

Nail

Bamboo canes

Waterproof paint and paintbrush

Building
1. Collect and cut all necessary materials
2. Add wood glue to one side and put two pieces together
3. Put the wood together with 3 nails or 3 screws
4. Start with the bottom piece adding the sides and backs
5. Build the roof separately creating a 90-degree angle
6. Nail or screws the roof to the rest of the house
7. Let the house dry
8. Paint the outside and edges of the house avoiding the inside
9. Use waterproof paint
10. Let the bee hotel dry!
Installation
1. Nail the bee hotel to a post that is around 1 meter
2. Dig a hole in the ground around 1 foot deep and 1 foot wide
3. Set some of the dirt aside for later
4. Place the post in the hole
5. Mix some cement and pour it into the hole
6. Let the cement dry
7. Cover the cement with the leftover dirt
Fill the Bee Hotel
1. Collect different twigs, logs, and sticks from outside
2. Drill 2-10mm holes into the larger pieces of the wood
3. Cut the bamboo sticks into smaller pieces
4. Start to fill the bee house
5. Fill any space with smaller sticks
1. Add plants around the bee house to attract bees
2. Add a bee bath
